Beijing reports first child virus death
The first death of a child from the hand, foot and mouth disease that has struck China was reported in Beijing on Wednesday.
Beijing: The first death of a child from the hand, foot and mouth disease that has struck China was reported in Beijing on Wednesday.
The child died on Sunday en route to the hospital, China's Xinhua News Agency quoted the Beijing Health Bureau as saying.
The death toll from the illness that has sickened tens of thousands of children across China has now reached 42.
