Another US soldier faces Okinawa rape accusation
Tokyo: Another US soldier on the Japanese island of Okinawa has been arrested for an alleged rape, the latest in a succession of incidents that has hindered US-Japan relations.
In this case, the victim, a Filipino woman was allegedly raped at a hotel.
This accusation of sexual assault involving US military personnel follows last week's controversial case involving the rape of a 14-year old schoolgirl.
The US Army is reportedly looking into this case, fresh after imposing a 24-hour curfew on all servicemen, their families and staff.
These cases have sparked great anger among the local community. Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda condemned the earlier rape as “unforgivable''.
