18 killed in plane crash near Everest in Nepal
Eighteen people were killed after a small passenger plane crashed on landing in Nepal's Everest region on Wednesday morning, Nepalese officials said.
Kathmandu: Eighteen people were killed after a small passenger plane crashed on landing in Nepal's Everest region on Wednesday morning, Nepalese officials said.
Twelve Germans were among 14 foreigners who died, and only one Nepalese passenger survived, the officials said.
The plane was flying from Kathmandu to Lukla in eastern Nepal, when it caught fire after it crash-landed on the airstrip.
