Ukrainian killed, three others hurt
A Ukrainian national was killed and three others were injured when a bus hit them at Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Sunday.
New Delhi: A Ukrainian national was killed and three others were injured when a bus hit them at Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Sunday.
A spokesperson of Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) said the accident took place around 1am when a bus carrying the crew of an international flight hit the passengers.
The driver has been arrested. According to an airport official, the passengers arrived at Terminal 2 of the airport on an inter-terminal transfer coach when they were hit.
"They were pulling out their luggage from the boot of the bus when another bus hit them from behind," a police official said.
The Ukrainian passenger, Mikhialov, died on the spot and the injured were taken to a hospital, where two were discharged later in the day. But the condition of one of the passengers is serious, the official said.
