Singh to lay foundation for Hyderabad Metro
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be laying the foundation for the 71km Hyderabad Metro Rail Project
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be laying the foundation for the 71km Hyderabad Metro Rail Project (HMR) on February 4. Singh's attendance was finalised during the state Congress party meeting which also included Congress general secretary and party in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The state Congress president Botsa Satyanarayana told the media that Azad asked the chief minister to make elaborate arrangements for the prime minister's visit.
The prime minister will also attend a state government event where he will distribute appointment letters to the youth under the Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu programme. Under this programme, the state will act as a facilitator and provide jobs to youth in the private sector. The government will distribute 100,000 appointment letters on the first day. A few of them will be handed over by the prime minister at the event.
