New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said the intelligence lapse in the Mumbai attacks was alarming given that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was to be at Oberoi Trident on November 29.
"The intelligence agencies usually conduct a security drill, sanitise the venue of a prime minister's visit three days in advance and collect inputs to ensure he is not at a risk. But they all seemed to be in the dark," Arun Jaitely said.
Singh was to attend a function organised by The Economic Times.
