Playground spat claims boy's life
New Delhi: Police on Friday said that a 19-year-old had been held in connection with the death of a teenager who was allegedly hit with a cricket bat following a spat.
"Sarvesh Mishra, 16, went to a nearby park with his elder brother Golu to play cricket. Another boy from the same locality, Khalid, came to the park and tried to snatch the bat," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Sagar Preet Hooda.
"Golu and Khalid started fighting. When Sarvesh tried to intervene, Khalid hit him with the bat."
Sarvesh was taken to the Maharishi Valmiki Hospital nearby but was pronounced dead.
