Hyderabad stunned after racist attack in Australia
The news of a racist attack on yet another city student in Australia has left Hyderabad shocked and saddened.

Hyderabad: The news of a racist attack on yet another city student in Australia has left Hyderabad shocked and saddened.
A large number of people have gathered at the home of Kazim Ali Khan, 20, in the old city to expressed support and solidarity with the family.
Khan, a student of hospitality management at the Victoria Institute of Technology, was attacked by two hooded men in an eastern suburb of Melbourne.
"We came to know of the attack last evening and I have been in touch with Kazim's friends who are looking after him," said Mir Rezai Ali Khan, the victim's brother, at his home in the Mir Chowk area of Hyderabad.
"My brother has suffered injuries on the forehead and his nose is fractured. But his vision seems to be all right. He is admitted in a hospital," he said.
Family and friends gathered around a computer to see injured Khan's latest photographs as he lay on a hospital bed.
"It is a big shock to all of us. I appeal to the Indian government to do something to stop this violence against our people.
"I am worried not only about my brother but all Indian students. They are also like my brothers to me," the victim's brother said.
The news of the attack on Khan came as his father Syed, a retired government employee, lay in a hospital suffering from a heart ailment. He has not been told about the incident.
Local legislator Ahmad Pasha Quadri visited Kazim's home and assured the family of all necessary assistance if any family members wanted to go to Australia to wait on Khan.
Khan is the second student from Andhra Pradesh to be targeted by racists in Australia. Earlier, Shravan Kumar from Khammam district was seriously injured in an attack by four youth in Melbourne.
Shravan was admitted to hospital in a critical state but is slowly recovering.
