Four schoolboys drown in Kerala
In two shocking incidents in and around the capital of Kerala, four teenage boys lost their lives when they drowned while bathing in the Karamana river and a pond.
Thiruvananthapuram: In two shocking incidents in and around the capital of Kerala, four teenage boys lost their lives when they drowned while bathing in the Karamana river and a pond.
Three of them died in one incident at Thirumala in Thiruvananthapuram, while a fourth teenager died at Attingal near here.
The three boys who died at Thirumala, all aged 16, were Grade 12 students of Abraham Memorial School. They drowned at the Kalappan Kadavu in Karamana river, while bathing there.
Reports said one of the students had ventured into the middle of the river and got caught by the current and the two others drowned while attempting to rescue him.
In the second incident, Rohan, 15, a Grade 11 student of Chirayinkeezh, was found dead in a pond near his home at Veralom near Attingal. Reports said he had gone for tuition in the evening and did not return home.
