Jaipur: The priest of a local temple and a few beggars are being called to help identify eight bodies lying at a state-run hospital here following Tuesday's devastating terror attack that killed 61 people.
Rajasthan Health Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi said they have sought the help of the priest of Hanuman temple at Sanganeri Gate where the most powerful bomb explosion occurred.
"There are eight unidentified bodies and we believe that these are of those who used to beg at the Hanuman temple," Rajvi said.
"The priest would know who used to beg near the temple. We are also seeking the help of the beggars, as they would authenticate it. Most beggars choose one place and don't change their place of work."
At the Sawai Man Singh Hospital there were 15 unclaimed bodies last morning. But by afternoon relatives of seven victims had identified them.
For the rest, "apart from seeking help from the priest and the beggars we would be flashing their photographs in the media, both electronic and print", Rajvi said. "This would help us also."
