At least 22 dead as bus rolls into river in Indian Kashmir
At least 22 people have been killed when a bus fell into a river after veering off a mountain road in Indian Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
Jammu: At least 22 people have been killed when a bus fell into a river after veering off a mountain road in Indian Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
The bus lost control while taking a sharp turn and rolled down 900 metres into the Chenab River.
A police spokesman said 22 bodies had been recovered but the number is sure to rise.
Rescue workers attempting to recover more bodies were facing difficulties due to the rocky terrain of the region.
