Taliban fighters killed by Afghan forces
A number of Taliban fighters were killed and wounded by Afghan forces in southern Afghanistan, the Afghan Defence Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

Taliban militants ambushed an Afghan troop in the Mizan district of Zabul province on Monday.
Attacks on Afghan and foreign troops have intensified recently after the Taliban vowed to do so in an attempt to overthrow the pro-Western current government.
Four policemen and two civilians were killed on Monday in a separate attack by Taliban insurgents as well, while another civilian who the Taliban suspected of spying for Nato forces was also killed.
