Kabul: A suicide car bomber has targeted an Afghan bus carrying army and police personnel, a favoured Taliban target, in Kabul on Thursday, said witnesses. The number of casualties is still not known.
The suicide bomber, said to be in a Toyota saloon car, blew himself up prematurely before fully reaching his target.
The bus was left burning in the road as ambulance vehicles were seen leaving the scene.
Taliban insurgents launched more than 140 suicide bomb attacks in Afghanistan last year, 65 have been people killed in four similar attacks in the capital since June last year.
