Kabul: A suicide bomb in eastern Kabul has killed three civilians, two days before an international conference that will host representatives from 60 nations.
The bomber was said to be on foot and his target unclear, police said. Earlier, other officials reported that the attacker rode a bicycle.
Three civilians died, including a child, public health official Kabir Amiri said.
The Health Ministry spokesman Ghulam Sakhi Kargai said about 40 people were wounded.
University student Tamim Ahmad said he saw a man run up to a passing convoy of international troops and detonate an explosives-laden vest. However, Afghan authorities and Nato said there were no troops operating in the area.
