A strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked northeast Afghanistan on Sunday, according to media reports.

Quoting the United States Geological Survey, CNN said the quake hit Hindu Kush Region of northeastern Afghanistan.
The governor of Badakhshan province said no deaths or damages were reported.
