British soldier killed in Afghanistan
A British solider has been killed by an explosion while checking for mines in southern Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday.
London: A British solider has been killed by an explosion while checking for mines in southern Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday.
A ministry statement said the soldier was killed by a suspected IED (improvised explosive device) explosion, adding that no one else was injured.
Another UK soldier was killed on Tuesday during a firefight with the Taliban.
The deaths bring the toll of British troops killed in the region to 108.
