Dubai: Blazing sunshine and humidity will continue to keep UAE residents indoors on Sunday, as temperatures will remain at searing levels, feeling as high as 50 degrees Celsius.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) advised the public that the weather will be “hot to very hot in general,” with dusty and sandy winds expected to hit some areas.

“Relative humidity” levels are likewise set to ramp up again during the night and continue the next day.

Temperatures will feel like 50 degrees Celsius in the afternoon before dropping down to 44 degrees Celsius in the evening, according to a separate forecast. Humidity levels are forecast to hit a high of 60 per cent at night.

The amount of clouds, however, will increase over some eastern and southern areas. “Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times during daytime, causing blowing dust/sand over some exposed areas,” NCMS said.

“The relative humidity is likely to increase during [the] night and tomorrow early morning over some coastal areas.”
