Thick fog blanketed the UAE, delaying numerous incoming flights in the UAE's three major international airports and creating road traffic congestions as visibility went down to just a few metres.
More than 60 incoming flights at Dubai International were delayed from as early as 4.15am to 8.20am, while 30 incoming flights were delayed at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Another 17 flights were delayed in landing at Sharjah International Airport, according to Flight Tracker.
Authorities warned motorists about low-visibility conditions across the country.
