Dubai: Police are warning UAE residents to comply with the new traffic rules implemented on July 1, 2017, otherwise, this is how a simple family outing can cost up to Dh4,200 in fines without even realising it.
Dubai Police on Monday posted a video on Monday across their social media networking sites, detailing the innocent traffic violations that can occur in a vehicle with children.

Some of the main traffic violations highlighted by Dubai Police include:
Having a child less than 10 years old sitting in the front seat can incur a fine of Dh400.
Being distracted on the road is a Dh800 fine and four black points.
Failure to fasten seat belts means another Dh400 and four black points.
Sudden swerving will now carry a hefty penalty of Dh1,000, while using a mobile phone without a handheld device will cost motorists Dh800 fines.
