Dubai: If you found Dh100,000 lying on the ground, what would you do?
This is the situation that one Asian man recently found himself in, and his reaction has been applauded by government officials.
The Asian employee was recognised by Sharjah Police officials on Tuesday in recognition of his safety and cooperation. The missing cash, according to police, was discovered at one of the travel desks at Sharjah International Airport.
Sharjah Police posted a photograph of the Samaritan receiving a certificate of appreciation, with the caption: “Sharjah Police is keen to honour and encourage all members of the community who cooperate with them. Their actions reflect a supreme moral approach that serves as a model for him.”
Col Younus Abdul Rahman Al Hajri, Director of Ports and Airports Police Department at Sharjah Police General Headquarters, honoured the Asian worker in the presence of Lt Col Mattar Al Ketbi, Head of Airport Police.
