Dubai: A medical centre offering cutting-edge radiosurgery treatments is expected to open in Dubai next year.

The Dh180-million Neuro Spinal Hospital and Radiosurgery Centre at Dubai Science Park will be a 120-bed facility.

The hospital will also provide neuroscience, spine, orthopaedic and oncology care.

Dr Abdul Karim Msaddi

The centre is backed by Dr Abdul Karim Msaddi, founder of the Dubai Neuro Spinal Hospital, and a group of Saudi and Qatari investors led by Audacia Capital, a Dubai-based firm.

“The new hospital will have state-of the-art medical equipment and be able to attract top international talent across various medical specialties,” said Emad Mansour, Audacia Capital’s chief executive.

“This investment is in response to the growing demand for specialist healthcare within the country and region,” he added.

“We are very proud to have established this partnership, and confident that the new facility will be a game changer for healthcare in the UAE.”

Msaddi, who established the Neuro Spinal Hospital in 2002, said that the new facility will mean that fewer patients will have to leave the region for treatment.

“We aim to bring world-class health care services to Dubai to reduce the practice of referring patients outside the region for treatment,” he said.

“I believe that we will also be able to attract top talent from around the world and bring home the latest technologies, for the benefit of all patients across the region.”

The new centre’s planned location at the Science Park is located in Barsha South, a free zone which houses more than 280 companies.
