Abu Dhabi: Worn-out UAE flags across the capital are being replaced with new ones as part of a campaign launched by the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport, the municipal sector regulator in the emirate of Abu Dhabi said.
In a statement sent by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City today (July 26), it announced that 23 flags mounted atop houses, villas and public buildings had so far been replaced free of cost.
The municipality also urged residents and members of the community to ensure that mounted UAE flags are in good condition. Those who fail to do so will be served notice at the conclusion of the week-long campaign today, it added.
