Dubai: The final tests of the 17th edition of the Shaikha Hind Bint Maktoum Quran Contest, a major category of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) comes to a close today (Monday)
Male contestants sat the examinations at the headquarters of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award for ten days and female memorisers were tested at the Dubai Women’s Association for 12 days.
Ebrahim Bu Melha, Head of DIHQA Organising Committee and Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs, said the contest has gained popularity among young Quran memorisers across the country.
“Top winners will be given accolades during the concluding ceremony to take place at the Dubai Women’s Association on February 23 for male participants and on February 24 for female contestants,” he said.
