Al Ain: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received a delegation from Abu Dhabi Police, which marked the 60th anniversary of its establishment.

Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was present on the occasion.

The delegation was led by Major General Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police.

Shaikh Mohammad congratulated the Abu Dhabi Police on their anniversary, and praised their hard work and dedication throughout the years, wh enhanced the stability and security, and ensured the safety of members of the community.

Shaikh Mohammad underlined that security is the backbone of the stability of communities and stable countries throughout history. He added that security was given major support by the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the nation. “His development vision, to develop Abu Dhabi and achieve the dream of the unified state, an approach that is continued by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who provided all form of support for police services,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

Shaikh Mohammad pointed out that in an age of threats, security services shoulder a big responsibility over the next years, especially with rapid changes in the nature of crime and challenges imposed on relevant security bodies.

Shaikh Mohammad expressed his trust in the ability of Emirati youth and police and security personnel to cope with challenges and carefully plan for the future to ensure the safety of the public.

Other shaikhs and senior officials were present during the meeting.
