Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received delegations from the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) and humanitarian and charitable associations operating in the country as well as the Ahmad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for charitable and humanitarian works, Zakat Fund and Sandooq Al Watan.
Exchanging Ramadan greetings, Shaikh Mohammad praised the role being played by national institutions especially in humanitarian field though their programmes and initiatives, which are aimed at offering a helping hand to needy people wherever they are, based on the values of giving and humanitarian principles.
The UAE, thanks to the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has left an indelible mark in the humanitarian actions internationally and occupied a high status in this field thanks to the approach of giving and helping others first adopted by the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Shaikh Mohammad said.
The UAE is pressing ahead with its approach of giving and extending a helping hand to all needy people, he added.
Describing them as partners in the progress of giving thanks to their patriotism, Shaikh Mohammad praised the contributions made by well wishers and businessmen, stressing that they are a pivotal supporter to the humanitarian and charitable action which thereby boost the country’s efforts on all humanitarian levels.
Present were Lt. General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
