Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Saturday received French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe who is on a current visit to the UAE.
They discussed cooperation ties in cultural, educational, economic and political arenas and the keenness of both countries to take their bilateral cooperation and joint action to greater heights.
Shaikh Mohammad and Philippe exchanged views about the current regional and international developments as well as a number of issues of mutual concern related to entrenching the concepts of peace, tolerance, dialogue and coexistence between world’s peoples.
Philippe expressed his pleasure in visiting the UAE and praised the growth of France-UAE relations manifested in the implementation of joint cultural projects such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi which constitute an important foundation for the progress of ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The French premier said that his country looks forward to further partnerships with the UAE so as to meet the ambitions of the leadership of both countries.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Mohammad Ahmad Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; and Dr Ahmad Mubarak Al Mazroui, secretary-general of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
