Dubai: The UAE is taking its happiness drive a step ahead and you can’t miss if you’re driving down Dubai’s Shaikh Zayed Road.

On Monday, the International Day of Happiness, a Dubai skyscraper has been decked up with a humongous smiley.

That’s the 309-metre Jumeirah Emirates Towers — the iconic twin buildings had just been declared as the “happiest tower in the world”.

And that’s because that’s where the “happiest office in the world” is also located. Staff of the Office of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, celebrated winning the ‘Happiest Office Around the World’ title on Monday.

The event, held at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, coincides with world celebrations of the International Day of Happiness which takes place on March 20 every year. The UAE’s celebrations of the International Day of Happiness reflects the country’s approach to spread happiness and positive values at work and at home.

The employees put a huge poster of a smiling face inscribed with the words, “The Happiest Tower in the World” at the front of the Emirates Towers. The staff also welcomed visitors and presented them with gifts that symbolise happiness and positivity.

Next to these iconic towers is the under-construction Museum of the Future and world’s first office built using 3D printing.
