Dubai: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has released new guidelines for Arabic digital content, communication through social media and criteria for website quality improvement.
The initiative comes in line with the efforts made by the TRA to promote governmental entities’ online presence by providing standard guidelines for content communication.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansouri, TRA’s director-general, said that cooperation is the secret behind success, and it is the reason behind all the accomplishments that the UAE has achieved under the patronage of its wise leadership. “The Arabic Digital Content Guidelines and the Websites Quality Improvement Standards are the results of this cooperation. Everyone is collaborating to formulate these guidelines through organising workshops, reaching mutual understanding and framing a defined mechanism for implementation,” said Al Mansouri
This project aims to develop guidelines for using Arabic content on websites and government applications, managing social governmental entities’ media accounts with a focus on the most commonly used media in the country and the region, in addition to updating the standards of government websites, taking into account global developments in this field and local requirements.
