Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, has instructed government entities in Dubai to adopt the Dubai Endowment Brand which was launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to allow public and private organisations to participate in community service through innovative endowments.

Shaikh Hamdan said that the initiative will contribute to highlighting corporate social responsibility by reviving the endowment concept as a tool for economic development.

He added that private sector bodies are partners in the process of development of society and that the government sector should encourage private organisations to participate in community service through innovative endowments.

Earlier, Shaikh Mohammad announced that the value of assets allocated by individuals and institutions in the Mohammad Bin Rashid Global Centre for Awqaf and Endowment reached Dh6.3 billion a month after it was launched.

The annual returns generated from these assets during the month reached Dh503 million, which will help support education, health, society campaigns, innovation, future research, medical research, youth projects and many other fields.

The Mohammad Bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (GCEC) announced that public and private entities can now apply to receive the Dubai Endowment Sign.

The Dubai Endowment Brand is awarded to public and private bodies in order to highlight their contributions to the community.

The brand is an innovative project aims to motivate public and private sector bodies to contribute to communities through innovative endowments.

Any institution, no matter how large or small, can make contributions to a community, and hence all public and private institutions are encouraged to participate in community development through innovative means to bolster their image.
