Dubai: Dubai Expo 2020 will further boost development plans in Dubai and the UAE and will be an incentive for establishing more development projects that will consolidate the UAE’s stature globally.

The remarks were made by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, during a visit to the Expo 2020 site.

Shaikh Mohammad was briefed on the latest updates concerning the project, as well as progress in terms of construction and current preparations for hosting the global event.

Shaikh Mohammad was accompanied by Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. They were received upon their arrival at the site by Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Chairman of the Expo 2020 Higher Committee.

“We are very proud to host Dubai Expo 2020. It is a great accomplishment that will yield exceptional returns on an economic and social level,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

“Expo 2020 is close, and the construction work is progressing rapidly with the contributions of young and capable Emiratis who are leaving an imprint on this project. We are fully confident in the capabilities of Emiratis to organise this event in the most exceptional manner possible,” he said.

 “We are also looking forward to receiving millions of visitors from around the world. This event will be a milestone in the UAE’s journey and a rich legacy for future generations,” said the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.
