Dubai: The Emirates Identity Authority has announced that it has approved 131 typing centres in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah to use the new e-form it has recently launched. The new e-form allows Emiratis and residents to access all services related to issuing a new ID card, renewal of an expired card or replacement of a lost or damaged card.

Emirates ID authority indicated that starting August 1, 2013, the Authority will reject old e-forms filled at any typing centre in the mentioned emirates. New e-forms filled in any typing centre that’s not approved will also be rejected.

The Authority has urged all customers to make sure the typing centres they use to fill their applications for a new ID card or renewal of an expired card are approved by the Authority in order to have their applications processed.

Eida noted that applicants can also fill their applications online using the form through its website and save the Dh30 fees they pay to the typing centre.
