The used cooking oil required for producing biodiesel will be collected from within the organisations of Dubai Police, and the best international standards will be observed for the recycling and the production.
The biodiesel thus produced has environmental and economic benefits and will be used to fuel buses.
The Dubai Police Chief praised the cooperation of Lootah Biofuels, which won the Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport 2011 (Dast) in the Conservation of the Environment Category for its biodiesel initiative.
