Dubai: Two persons died and six others were injured in four traffic accidents in Dubai during the last three days, police said on Sunday.
In the first accident on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road on Friday afternoon, two persons were killed and two others were injured when two cars collided.
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Traffic Department in Dubai Police, said that speeding was the major reason behind the accident when a driver hit another car before hitting the road barrier. The second car, meanwhile, rammed into another car and stopped in the middle of the road. ”The driver and passenger of the second car were killed while the driver of the first car was seriously injured and a woman sitting with him on front seat sustained moderate injuries. The driver of the third vehicle suffered minor injuries.
“Speeding and not paying attention to the road was the major reason for deadly road accidents in the last three days,” Brigadier Al Mazroui added.
