Abu Dhabi: Wishing to donate badly-needed items for Nepal quake victims but don't know where to start?
A company has offered to make it easier for UAE residents to give non-financial donations to victims of the deadly tremor.
MPlus+, a home maintenance firm, has offered to do the pick-and-drop job to help the victims of the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal, killing over 5,000 and leaving 8 million people directly affected.
"Children of the Mountain" together with Nepal Embassy Abu Dhabi are now accepting non-financial aid to be shipped to Nepal, it said.
Due to the drop-off point being in Abu Dhabi at the Nepal Embassy, the company has offered to help donors by collecting donations and delivering them to the Nepal Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
The Nepal Embassy has recommended the following items for donation (unused/new):
- Tents
- Clothing
- Blankets
- Dry Foods (rice, lentils & canned goods)
- First Aid Kits
The last date of collection is on 7th May, 2015.
When booking job request, donors should inform the company that they would like their donation collected.
