Dubai: A fire that broke out on Tuesday night in a factory in Al Quoz Industrial area was put out almost four hours later.
According to the Dubai Civil Defense, the fire was reported at 11pm and was difficult to extinguish as it started in an office furniture factory. It was brought under control at 2:45am on Wednesday.
The warehouse where the fire started was divided into three sections, an office, manufacturing unit and store.
The fire started in the storage unit of the company and spread to burn out the entire steel-structure building, according to Civil Defence.
Although there were no injuries, financial losses are still being assessed.
The company's administration offices and some of the goods in the warehouse were saved, as well the offices and goods in nearby companies.
The fire also reached some goods of the same company, which were kept nearby outside the warehouse.
