Ras Al Khaimah: A man was killed and another sustained injuries in a car accident due to thick fog on Sunday morning, according to Ras Al Khaimah Police.
The 38-year-old Arab man died after his car slammed into a roundabout due to poor visibility. Brigadier Hassan Ebrahim, Deputy Director General of the Central Operations of Ras Al Khaimah police, said the victim, R.S.A.B., was driving when he hit the roundabout and his car overturned. The driver succumbed to his injuries, while a passenger was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Brig. Ebrahim called on motorists to pay attention to the road while driving and to abide by traffic rules and be extra vigilant during fog to avoid such fatal accidents.
