Air India Express flight from Dubai hits guiding lights during landing

Mangaluru/New Delhi: An Air India Express flight travelling from Dubai to Mangaluru hit runway guiding lights as it landed, according to reports.

"All 186 passengers are safe. The incident occurred today early morning," an AI official told IANS in New Delhi.

According to the official, an internal enquiry has been initiated after the flight IX 814 hit "some guiding lights" of the runway after landing at Mangaluru airport damaging them.

"The aircraft has not suffered any damage. The Flight Safety Department has already set up an enquiry into the incident. According to the initial report, the aircraft did not skid," the official said.
