Dubai Charity distributes food baskets in Senegal

Dubai Charity Association distributed 1,500 food baskets to the underprivileged

Dakar: Dubai Charity Association has so far distributed 1,500 food baskets to underprivileged and special needs Muslims as part of the organisation’s Ramadan iftar project in Senegal.

Ahmad Mesmar, Secretary-General of the organisation, said that the iftar campaign in Senegal is one of 28 which the charity implements around the world at a total cost of Dh15 million, representing about 25 per cent of the total cost of Ramadan projects carried out by the association during Ramadan. The food aid is being distributed to the poor in Dakar and its suburbs in mosques and orphanages.
