Ajman: Seven people were injured after a crash between two vehicles on Al Kuwaiti road intersection in Al Numaiyah area in Ajman on Sunday evening.

The vehicle which caused the accidents hit another car at a high speed and rammed into a shop near an intersection.

The police said the accident occurred due to speeding and not abiding by lane.

Major Saif Abdullah Al Falasi, deputy director  of traffic and patrols department at Ajman Police, said the accident happened on Shaikh Rashid Bin Abdul Aziz road at the intersection of  Kuwait road after the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident type was driving on the first lane, reserved for motorist who take left. But the driver went straight instead of turning left.

The Arab driver identified as A.M.K., was driving at a high speed when he crossed the intersection. He crashed into another vehicle driven by an Arab woman at the intersection, Maj. Al Falasi said. Due to the impact, the Arab man’s  car swerved out of control and rammed into a shop, he said.

The vehicle causing damages to two shop. Two Asian workers present in the shops sustained minor injuries. Also, four Arab women who were in second vehicle in addition to the Arab driver who caused the accident were also injured.  All of them sustained minor injuries and were shifted to the hospital, Maj. Al Falasi said.
