Damascus: A Syrian human rights group says a Syrian court has sentenced one of its members to six months in prison because of an article he wrote criticising the government.
The National Organisation for Human Rights said Mohammad Dak Al Bab has been sentenced on Sunday.
Al Bab, 59, spent six years in jail as a political prisoner before being released in 2005.
The group's statement condemned Al Bab's sentence and calling for its cancellation.
