Khartoum: Sudanese authorities have found alive one of two Chinese oil workers who were missing, the Chinese embassy said on Friday.
Chinese Ambassador Li Chengwen said the man was in an "acceptable condition."
Gunmen kidnapped nine workers, including the two Chinese men, in the volatile energy-producing state of South Kordofan on October 18.
"The Sudanese side found him and handed him to us. He was not shot and is not suffering from any serious injuries. He just needs care," Li said. One man remains missing.
China said four were killed after a failed rescue attempt this week and three escaped with injuries. Sudan says the killings were unprovoked.
