Bosasso: A ship from Panama captured by Somali pirates has been freed on Tuesday, officials said.
Somali security forces were able to release the ship two days after a gunbattle left one of the hijackers dead.
"We have succeeded in saving the Panama-flagged ship and its crew," Ali Abdi Aware, state minister for the northern Puntland region said. "The pirates have surrendered and the ship is in our hands now."
