Occupied Jerusalem: A Palestinian stabbed three Israelis in the occupied West Bank on Monday in continuing violence over the Israeli attack on Gaza.
The Palestinian was shot and wounded by an armed passer-by, Israel's military said, adding that the man was in Israeli custody.
In the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon, a Palestinian rocket killed at least one person, said Mayor Benny Vaknin.
More than 300 people have been killed on the third day of an Israeli air offensive in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian officials have said.
A tally by the UN aid agency UNRWA estimates that at least 51 civilians in the Gaza Strip have been killed in Israeli air strikes since Saturday.
"It is likely to be conservative and it is certainly rising," UNRWA spokesman Christopher Gunness said on Monday.
He said the estimate was based on visits by UNRWA officials to hospitals and medical centres across the Gaza Strip.
