Gaza: A senior Palestinian security officer's home has been attacked by gunmen in Gaza on Tuesday, killing his bodyguard and stirring fears of renewed Hamas-Abbas factions.
The home of Nabil Tammous was stormed by gunmen, who shot his bodyguard and blew up the house, said security forces.
Hamas has denied the attack, even though Tammous, who is an Abbas loyal, has fallen out of favour with the governing Hamas.
Abbas have hinted that the militant group that defeated president's Fatah movement in January elections is linked to the attack.
Security forces said three other guards were captured during the incident.
Since Israel's attack on Gaza, violence between the parties has been mostly put on hold.
