Palestinian Prime Minister, Ismail Haniya appealed to the international community to help secure the release of Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister, Nasser Al Shaer on Sunday.
The deputy PM was kidnapped by the Israeli army on Saturday, after hiding since the start of Israel's Palestine offensive in June. He was seized in a raid at his home in the West Bank town on Ramallah.
Israel said Hamas, which became the Palestinian ruling party in parliamentary elections earlier in the year, is a terrorist organization and it's leaders “targets for arrest.''
Haniya who is also a member of Hamas, said the arrest was part of an Israeli attempt to undermine the Palestinian political system.
