The eight-year-old girl was killed and two other women were injured when the Israeli army struck the region to target a militant.
A Palestinian rocket attack along the Gaza border has killed one Israeli and woundedthree others, Israel's police said on Thursday.
The rocker hit a factory in the Nir Oz kibbutz in southern Israel along the Gaza border.
A Hamas statement said the group fired three mortars into the Israeli region and "killed a Zionist" and said such attacks would continue till justice is reached for their people.
Israeli government spokesman David Baker said Hamas will be accountable for the attacks, adding that they will not allow them to continue.
