Israel eases restrictions on four Palestinian Fulbright scholars
Four of the seven Palestinians awarded prestigious fellowships were able to apply for their United States visas, after Israel granted them permission to leave the Gaza Strip.
Occupied Jerusalem: Four of the seven Palestinians awarded prestigious fellowships were able to apply for their United States visas, after Israel granted them permission to leave the Gaza Strip, an Israeli human rights group said on Wednesday.
Israel allowed four Fulbright students to travel to the US Consulate in Occupied Jerusalem.
The students will return back to Gaza, where they will wait for the visa proceedings to be finalised, rights group Gisha said.
Three students are still awaiting Israeli approval.
