Hezbollah rockets 'longer in range'
Israel says Hezbollah has increased its arsenal of rockets and their range, and can now threaten most of Israel.
Jerusalem: Israel says Hezbollah has increased its arsenal of rockets and their range, and can now threaten most of Israel.
According to the Associated Press, officials – who spoke on condition of anonymity – said the group had acquired new Iranian-made rockets with a range of around 186 miles. This means they could reach as far as Dimona, where Israel's nuclear reactor is located.
Hezbollah fired 4,000 rockets into Israel during clashes in 2006. Those rockets had a maximum range of just 43 miles.
Israel says Hezbollah has built up a bigger arsenal than before the conflict, which stood at 14,000.
