Hamas calls for Arab backing on peace deal
Hamas wants the Arab summit, which starts on Saturday, to back a peace deal between the group and rival Fatah, the group’s leader said on Friday.
Gaza: Hamas wants the Arab summit, which starts on Saturday, to back a peace deal between the group and rival Fatah, the group's leader said on Friday.
A Gaza-based website quoted Hamas laeder Khaled Meshaal as urging Arab leaders to support the group's fight with Israel.
The two-day Arab summit opens in Damascus on Saturday.
Meshaal called on Arab leaders to "shoulder your national and brotherly responsibility to foster a Palestinian-Palestinian dialogue", according to the report.
