Captive Israeli soldier Shalit's family receives new letter from son
The Israeli media has reported the family of Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier kidnapped by Hamas, has received a letter from him.

Ramallah: The Israeli media has reported that the family of Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier kidnapped by Hamas, has received a letter from him.
The father of the kidnapped soldier, Naoum Shalit confirmed that he received the letter and assured that the handwriting is that of his son and that the letter is a newly written one.
The letter, according to BBC, also contained a plea by the soldier to the Israeli government and leaders to work harder to free him as soon as possible.
Shalit was kidnapped by Hamas in June 2006. Hamas has demanded the freeing of 450 Palestinian prisoners in return for Shalit.
The letter which was received by the family on Monday came in through the Carter for Human Rights organization in Ramallah.
